The Anti-Smuggling Organisation of Model Customs Collectorate (Preventive) Lahore impounded 13 different vehicles on suspicion of being smuggled during the months of November and December 2015. Collectorate sources said that accumulative C&F value of these 13 vehicles is over Rs 25 million which were impounded by the Anti-Smuggled Car Squad of the Collectorate headed by Dr Muhammad Adnan Khan, Mumtaz Ajmal Mian, Saleem Akhtar and others.

These vehicles include Toyota Land Cruiser (V8) 2009 model, Honda Accord Car Model 2004, Toyota Land Cruiser Model 1996, Mitsubishi Pajero Model 1996, Toyota Vitz Model 2007, Toyota Surf Model 1999, BMW (745LI) Model 2004, Toyota Coster Model 2000, Toyota Camry Model 2003, two Land Cruisers model 2000 and 1993, Mitsubishi Pajero and Suzuki.

Sources said that these vehicles are in the process of forensic checking to ascertain whether these are smuggled or duty paid for further action. Meanwhile, the Anti-Smuggling Organisation of the Model Customs Collectorate during the month of December 2015 impounded different smuggled/non-duty paid items valuing Rs 18 millions including vehicles, cycles parts, cloth, cigarettes, Cigars, perfumes, hair oil, mobile phones, auto parts etc.

The sources said that the Collectorate took in to possession smuggled/non-duty paid items valuing Rs 200 million during the period of July 2015 to December 2015 as compared to seizure of smuggled/non-duty paid items worth Rs 159 million in the same period of year 2014.
